Aquamarine

Aquamarine stimulates and supports the Throat Chakra which allows us to communicate our thoughts and feelings. It is directly connected to the ability to express inner creativity. Both teaching and learning are affected by the balance of the throat chakra. It is the birthstone for the month of March. Named after the Latin phrase “water of the sea”, this beautiful gem with shades ranging from pale to bluish green is related to the emerald. Aquamarine is a form of the mineral beryl and has a hardness of 7 ½ -8. It is called the “Stone of Courage” and is believed to help alleviate fears while strengthening mental clarity and communication and helps one to communicate compassionately and feel safe while moving through the changes of life. It assists the wearer in honoring their spiritual experiences as their own and using those experiences to further their own growth. Some of its physical healing properties include cleansing the physical body by directly strengthening the organs that perform that function. It strengthens and flushes the lymphatic system. Aquamarine comes from Afghanistan, Brazil, India, Madagascar, Nigeria, Pakistan and Russia.
